Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin Plans Move to the 17th Floor at The Pinnacle at Symphony Place
January 31, 2011
Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin PLLC (GSRM), one of Nashville’s largest law firms, has signed a long-term lease for the entire 17th floor at The Pinnacle at Symphony Place, announced Scott Derrick, managing partner of GSRM.
Construction of the over 23,000-square-foot space, based on the design of Cindy Sorci and Lydia Snipes of Sorci & Swords Design, will begin this summer. GSRM plans to move to the new space in the early part of January 2012.
“This move to Nashville’s most prestigious new office tower represents a new day for our firm,” said Derrick. “We sought new space that would allow us to improve our technologies and allow for a more modern, client-focused office design. At The Pinnacle, we will realize premium space and new real estate efficiencies found only in new buildings with column-free floor space. Our attorneys were also attracted by the easy driving and walking access to the location and being in the heart of the growing SoBro district, with all of the amenities that location offers. The LEED certification of the building was also appealing from a wellness as well as an efficiency standpoint. This will be an exciting year for us as we watch our new space take shape.”
David McRae and David Koziak, commercial real estate brokers that specialize in tenant representation at Newmark Knight Frank, represented GSRM. Dick Fleming of Cornerstone Commercial Real Estate Services represented The Pinnacle at Symphony Place.
“The unobstructed floor plate design at The Pinnacle allowed GSRM to decrease its overall space needs by approximately 15%” said McRae. “The economic savings, combined with the eight corner office spaces and other Class A amenities, made The Pinnacle a great fit for GSRM.”
GSRM joins Bass Berry & Sims, Pinnacle Financial Partners, and Sherrard & Roe at The Pinnacle at Symphony Place. According to Fleming, The Pinnacle is now 60% leased.
“We are truly delighted to welcome such a well-established and highly regarded law firm to the impressive list of tenants at The Pinnacle at Symphony Place,” said Fleming. “GSRM’s selection of The Pinnacle is an excellent example of how the efficiency of our building impacts the economics of a tenant’s decision. When a company can effectively occupy 15% less space, it is an endorsement to Jon Pickard’s vision to create an efficient, modern, office tower.”
