Gullett Sanford Attorneys to Speak at Limited Service Restaurant License Seminar
August 26, 2010
Dan Haskell and Matt Scanlan will speak at the seminar, Understanding Tennessee’s Limited Service Restaurant License: Should Your Business Apply? The seminar will be held on August 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the office of the Nashville Downtown Partnership. The seminar is sponsored by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau, Nashville Downtown Partnership, and the Tennessee Hospitality Association.
The Tennessee Legislature recently passed legislation creating a “limited service restaurant license” to ensure that Tennessee’s entertainment venues and others can continue to serve liquor without the threat of fines or suspensions from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission. The license will allow venues that derive less than 50% of its revenue from the service of food to obtain a license to sell alcoholic beverages. The seminar will cover the details behind this new license and help determine if this license is right for your business.
