Andra J. Hedrick is an attorney whose practice is dedicated to estate and business succession planning, probate court matters, and issues related to estate, inheritance, and gift taxes.
Andra represents individuals, couples, and business owners concerning estate and business succession planning, often involving multiple family generations. Andra prepares all types of wills and trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, as well as prenuptial, employment and buy-sell agreements. Andra advises clients concerning estate, inheritance and gift tax minimization, asset protection, titling of assets, and designating beneficiaries on assets such as life insurance and retirement accounts.
Andra frequently appears in probate courts throughout middle Tennessee in contested and uncontested matters relating to deceased and disabled individuals. Both in and out of probate court, Andra represents fiduciaries such as executors, administrators, trustees, and conservators, and also represents non-fiduciaries such as heirs, beneficiaries and creditors of estates and trusts. Andra assists clients with all steps involved with administering estates, trusts and conservatorships.
Andra is a co-author of the 6th and 7th Editions of Pritchard on Wills and Administration of Estates, a three volume legal treatise dedicated to Tennessee probate law. Andra also is the author of probate-related articles published in the Nashville Bar Journal and the University of Memphis Law Review.
Andra frequently speaks to legal and non-legal groups on various topics related to her areas of practice.
Prior to entering private practice at GSRM, Andra served as a judicial law clerk at the trial and appellate court levels, initially with Judge Donn Southern (ret.) of the Shelby County Probate Court and later with Judge David R. Farmer of the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
Andra resides with her family in Nashville, Tennessee.
