Tom Forrester’s practice since 1985 has been focused primarily on Chapter 11 business bankruptcy cases, workouts and commercial litigation. Tom represents business debtors, creditors, buyers, sellers, trustees, committees and others in the field of insolvency. Tom lectures frequently on insolvency and bankruptcy matters, and is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. Tom also serves as a director of the MidSouth Commercial Law Institute and on the Bankruptcy Committee of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
Tom was honored in 1994 as the Nashville Bar Association Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year and the Tennessee Bar Association Lawyer of the Year. Tom also is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® and Mid-South Super Lawyers for Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law, and has been recognized as Best of the Bar by the Nashville Business Journal.
Tom’s activities include the Room in the Inn program, fundraising for the Nashville Bar Association’s Pro Bono Program, Belle Meade United Methodist Church, running, backpacking, tennis and golf.
