Scott Derrick is currently serving as the firm’s managing partner and the section leader of the firm’s litigation section. Scott’s practice is dedicated to the litigation of various matters for clients across the country. He handles numerous types of litigation, but regularly represents clients in the areas of real estate litigation, commercial landlord/tenant disputes, personal injury defense, transportation defense, civil rights defense, and bankruptcy adversary proceedings. Scott’s clients include national, regional and local landlords and management companies, retail centers, transportation companies, and government municipalities, among others.
Scott is a member of the American, Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations. He also is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (past Tennessee Government Affairs Committee Chair) and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. He has been a frequent speaker on topics related to commercial landlord/tenant issues.
